Catherine Bussiere is a photographer, a filmmaker and an educator.
Her preferences in photography are ones that tend to represent a subject in it's natural state.
Documenting with attention to light and composition, looking for natural balance,
she loves to capture the everyday events.
Having recently graduated from the NSCC Screen Arts program, Catherine has been using video as another mean to depict her surroundings. With the help of the Canada Council for the Arts in 2006 she was able to produce a series of short animations as part of a video documentary entitled Skipping School.
Since 2004 Catherine has been hosting several film camps at her homestead in Nova Scotia.
The five day camps expose participants to the basics of filmmaking and enable them to create
a short production.
